Case Study: Handwriting and Pencil Grasp Difficulties in a 5th Grader
B., a 5th grader seen for handwriting difficulties, showed minimal progress until an underlying reflex pattern was identified. By addressing the Babinski reflex alongside the Robinson Hand Grasp reflex, his brain was able to better organize motor control for writing. Over time, his handwriting became legible, writing avoidance decreased, and he gained confidence in communicating his ideas on paper.
